After decades of being abandoned
the former gas station building on the corner of Albee & 41 is
demolished; the land is slated for a mixed use development including a
Hilton Garden Suites. The site is well located on Tamiami Trail &
our road to Nokomis & North Jetty Beaches!

awards architect Jack West a plaque associated with his design of the
Nokomis Beach Pavilion. The pavilion was originally designed by
Mr. West; it reopened on September 19, 2008. Board of County
Commissioners Joe Barbetta, Shannon Staub & Jon Thaxton look on at
this event attended by roughly 300 residents. |
